Waste Not: Nature’s Culture

Earlier this evening the Fingertip Press published the Zero Waste in ACTION Blog article, Zero Waste CULTURE, a necessary ingredient for long-term ZW program success. Over many millennia, Humans evolved into a profoundly wasteful species. SURREAL: a Human culture respectful of our limited resources must be cultivated.

A major component of my Elemental Impact work is to “wake-up” fellow Humans to the consequences of wasteful living and strive for solutions within sustainable materials management practices.

Yet inherent within Nature is waste-free living via Perpetual Life Cycle Spirals. The discarded items from one life serve as the food | foundation for another life cycle.

A simple example are tree leaves. Colorful leaves fall to the ground as winter approaches; these leaves contain up to 80% of the necessary nutrition for the tree. Yet Humans discard the nutritious leaves, only later to “feed” the lawn landscape with petroleum-based fertilizers.

Earlier this year I was gifted a lovely example of Nature’s Waste Not Culture intertwining with Human activity. With my camera, I stumbled upon a fishing dock where a gentleman was cleaning his catch from a day at sea.

In addition to the pelican pod below in the bay waters, an intense snowy white egret, eagerly awaiting handouts,  stayed within a couple feet of the gentleman. Skin, entrails, head and tails were thrown to the appreciative feathered friends. It warmed my heart to know every morsel of the caught fish was respected and kept within the Perpetual Life Cycle Spiral.

… and I was honored to capture the egret “cleaning-up” the last bits of flesh left on the cleaning board!

Beyond our material world, it is important to “waste not” within our energetic fields. Emotional upsets and old traumatic wounds cause holes and tears in our energetic body, the foundation for physical bodies. ALL health issues arise from holes, tears and | or aberrations in the emotional, mental and other etheric bodies.

The physical body mirrors the collective etheric bodies. When etheric body wounds continue to fester, disease or injury of some sort is inevitable in the physical body. In addition, valuable life energy seeps out of the wounds or may be “sucked” out via unhealthy relationships. Loss of life energy carries its own bodily health issues.

As our Universe orbits deeper into the Light Side of the Galaxy, Humans will reboot into their own Waste Not Culture. Yet a reboot filled with ease and grace requires Humans to take responsibility for their soul wounds and wasteful ways.

  1. Holly – your presentation of such valuable knowledge keeps sustaining me. These presents you provide to each of us need to be our wake up calls to do so much more for our environment. “Waste not want not” should be a motto. Thanks for the person that you are, and all the incredible work that you do.
